yes, yes, i know its ho chih minh city, but maybe i like to go around calling things burma, ceylon, peking, bombay and the congo.
i’ve only been to vietnam once before – chinese new year in 2001. but i was in the north: hanoi and environs. it’s been quite a while since i’ve been anywhere in south-east asia that wasn’t english speaking.

Oh, tips you want is it, errr, we found a really good place that does good Vietnamese food just off Pham Ngu Lao but the name escapes me, there were some other places where the food was crap closeby, we wished we’d stuck to the original place, so give those ones a miss and go to the good one.
