asparagus. when i was young – maybe the 4th or 5th grade, my dad decided he wanted to try growing asparagus plants in the backyard. at this time in my life, i hated asparagus. hated.
i hated it so much, i went and kicked down all the plants.
now? it’s my second favorite vegetable, after childhood favorite spinach.
