American Apparel Shanghai Huaihai Road . . .Open!

I went there today before I went to the gym.

It’s laid out kind of weird, one floor open to Huaihai Road/Longmen Road, then a balcony then another set of stairs to the THIRD floor where the men’s (or the less women-friendly) clothes were. Obviously everything is overpriced, and yet, I think the 50/50 and the tri-blend t-shirt are the world’s most comfortable articles of clothing. I bought a new Dov’s Hoody to replace the one that I left at Park Tavern after the US/England game. It really is awesomely comfortable, but the ironic mustache is not included.

Here’s what the store looks like

When are you going to post pictures of yourself in your new gold lame jumpsuit?

  2. Terence says:

Yes just keep checking back everyday

Great name I bet they spent a lot of time on that one. I think I’ll start a clothing brand called English Clothes. Actually I’ve never had the pleasure of shopping at an AA, will be sure to check it out. Do they do business suits?

  4. T. says:

No business suits – but I believe they’re trying to head in that direction – maybe in a few years.

In a few years? I doubt it. They’re on the brink of bankruptcy. I visited the store last weekend. Nothing really caught my eye, I guess I’m not their target demographic.
