From Russia with Photos

As promised by fishface, here are some scans of photos from 20 years ago. Tokyo, Beijing and the Trans-Siberian Railway.

Jason and David in Tokyo

Most of the group at Tian’anmen gate. Note that I am wearing shorts, Nikes and Oakley Frogskin sunglasses. 20 years later, I wear the same things.

Here at the temple of Heaven. I’ve added a Cal hat. So again, Cal hat, Nikes, shorts, Oakleys. I wear the same stuff 20 years later.

I just realised we never got a shot of us playing Big-2 (cards) on the train!

  2. Terence says:

@Celia – Can’t take photos while playing. We played 2 decks – 6 people, remember?

  3. WoAi says:

Are you talking about “chor dai di”?

  4. Terence says:

Yes, or in my family we called it “dell dai” – but its the same game.

  5. Monica says:

Hey I like the one in front of the Beijing Station – it’s focused on the station, not on you guys…

And, are you going to wear the same stuff for another 20, 40 years?

  6. terence says:

Probably. I will probably always wear Cal and Nike stuff.
